Sharing To Learn - ITIL v3 Service Strategy
and Continual Service Improvement

Well accepted as pioneering best practices for service management, ITIL v3 has been released for over a year. The five core volumes introduce a couple of important new concepts like service lifecycle, service as strategic assets and continual service improvement, etc. Adding together, these aim at bringing ITSM into new heights and integrate closer with business, it also posts considerable challenges to the practitioners in mastering its essence as well as relating to the real-life applications.

With the mission to promote ITSM best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing among members and practitioners in Hong Kong. itSMF Hong Kong Chapter has driven the formation of the ITIL v3 study groups at the end of 2007. The participants have spent a serious amount of enjoyable and productive nights together in reviewing, discussing and constructively debating over the contents of the new ITIL v3 books. Such invaluable experiences definitely help brought everyone's understanding of ITIL v3 to the next level.

It is high time for the chapter's members to harvest the study group's effort. itSMF Hong Kong Chapter is now organizing ITIL v3 study group review night for you to hear about the highlights and summaries of their learning experience. Coming first would be about two books namely "Service Strategy" and "Continual Service Improvement", which are considered newer in the five book series. You will also be able to participate in break-out sessions for smaller groups' discussion to share your own experience, exchanging views, thoughts and insights.

No matter whether you are novice or expert in ITSM, don't miss this opportunity to solidify your understanding of ITIL v3.
