ITIL V3 Study Group 2009

For members who look for in-depth interactive discussion . . . Join our Study Group

Having attended a number of ITIL seminars, you are now preparing to go further and deeper to reinforce your learning via interactive discussion and experience sharing with other practitioners. Why not joining our study group? Our first study group started in end-2007 with two streams focusing on Service Strategy and Continual Service Improvement respectively. Time commitment and self-discipline are the key challenges to the study groups. Those study group members who were able to sustain the effort, evidenced the fruitful outcomes when the teams shared their learning in August, 2008 event. The enthusiastic participants were so engaged in the unstoppable breakout discussion that there was no sign of ending until the venue could not be extended anymore. To join our study group, simply submit your registration on or before August 21. You will be contacted shortly for the study group arrangement. About the Study Group

  • The duration of the study is 3-4 months (Sep, 09 to Jan, 10), depending the progress of individual study group.
  • At least one itSMF committee or sub-committee member will engage each study group as a participant. He/she will contact the group members for the kickoff meeting.
  • Each participant will join one study group unless otherwise requested. Joining more than one study group will be subject to availability.
  • Each study group will set its own study goals and objectives.
  • Meeting can be a mix of different means such as face-to-face meeting, tele-conference… etc. Frequency will be determined by each study group, but preferably at least once a month.
  • There is no charge for joining the study group. Expenses (such as dinner, drink) incurred for face to face meeting will be borne by the participants
  • Depending on the progress and outcomes of the study, study group members may have a chance to present their study result in the Chapter's coming Professional Development workshops or annual conference.

Eligibility

To be eligible to participate the ITIL V3 Study Group, the Candidate must:

  • be a member of the itSMF Hong Kong Chapter, preferably being certified at any one of the ITIL qualifications.
  • has passion to promote the best practices in IT Service Management
