Industry News
1. Dairy Farm Company Limited attained ISO/IEC 20000 Certification
Congratulations to IT Department of the Dairy Farm Company Limited for obtaining an ISO/IEC 20000 Certification. The achievement demonstrates a visible commitment to managing the provision of IT services. The Chapter looks forward to seeing more and more ISO/IEC 20000 certifications in the near future.
2. 2000 itSMF members in Sweden
The itSMF communities around the world grow bigger and bigger. itSMF Sweden Chapter announced its accomplishment in membership of 2000 members in October 2009. In fact, the itSMF globally boasts over 6000 member companies covering in excess of 40,000 individuals spread over 50 Chapters.

3. Forum on The New Economy - Enhancing our New Key Industries with ICT
Mr. William Lam, Director of Knowledge and Web Management, attended the Forum on The New Economy - Enhancing our New Key Industries with ICT on 30 September 2009. The event, organized by HK Computer Society, discussed opportunities including e-Class, Digital Learning Repository, and applications of IT in private medical sector. Most speakers agreed that Hong Kong is the best base for testing of new technologies and IT applications.
4. Seminar: eHealth Forum 2009
Mr. Raymond Yu, Chapter's Vice Chair, and Ms. Yantl Sze, Director of Communications, attended the eHealth Forum (8 - 9 October) organized by the eHealth Consortium. The forum introduced the latest development of electronic Health Record (eHR). Besides, applications of latest technologies in eHealth, including IT Service Management tools and cloud computing were covered in the event.
5. Data Centre Conferences
Mr. Derek Fu, core sub-committee member, attended the Data Centre Conferences on 16 October 2009. The event covered several topics on Data Centre Management perspective including Facilities Management, Green IT, Data Security, Storage, and Cloud Computing.

6. Members' Survey 2009
Thank you for giving us valuable comments! The Member Survey was successfully completed on 23 October and we received many helpful suggestions. Your views definitely help us in planning future events as well as member benefits. Detail analysis is in process and we will communicate our findings with you later.
7. itSMF HK Annual Conference Working Group
The Organizing Committee (OC) held its kick-off meeting in mid October. It is planned to hold the Annual Conference around early February 2010. The OC is currently making a detailed plan.
