Through its partnership with Van Haren Publishing (VHP), one of the most renowned publishers for ITSM titles in Netherlands, the itSMF Hong Kong Chapter is delighted to announce the launch of its e-bookshop facility. This facility allows members of our Chapter and visitors to purchase itSMF titles and other selected ITSM titles on-line all year round with 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Through this online facility itSMF members will entitle a 15% discount off the published list price from Van Haren.

With incredible voluntary effort from a group of enthusiastic IT professionals, the organization of itSMF Hong Kong Chapter was established on 20th January, 2005, and bear its global affiliation with its headquarter based in UK. With its growth of membership body and competence in the future our aim is to provide a common space for ITSM practitioners in Hong Kong and its neighborhood territories to share and exchange knowledge and know-how at different facets of IT service management, including the continuing adoption, development and refinement of the ITIL process management framework as its core competence.

Objectives
We endeavor to enhance the awareness of technology, best practices and standards in IT service management through:

 Promotion and development of globally recognized qualifications

 Facilitated knowledge sharing among members and practitioners

Organization
itSMF is a not-for-profit organization truly run by its members. The executive committee, called as "The Council", consists of a group of enthusiastic IT professionals offering voluntarily their time and effort to manage the on-going operations of the Chapter. The Council consists of the following positions:

Besides, ad hoc taskforces will be appointed by the Council to carry out specific projects and activities as the need arises.

We provide a wide range of services, including the followings:-
 An annual conference and exhibition for IT service management which is recognized as the leading event of its kind
    in the calendar
 A series of one day seminars on topics of special interest to our members
 A bookstore selling all the relevant "best practice" publications relating to IT service management (and other
    associated areas)
 A quarterly magazine ServiceTalk containing articles, white papers, people news, press releases, advertisements
    plus news of itSMF and general service management related activities
 Mailing facilities (for members only) to our database
 Sponsorship and promotion of a series of Industry Awards to recognize major contributions to the industry
 Access to regional groups to discuss topical issues
